NL-HEESWab 16 |
Week psalter, 16th century. Secular use. Hufnagelschrift on ink staves. Many saints point towards the diocese of Utrecht (Willibrordus, Lebuinus, etc.). The manuscript has several hymns for Augustinus (fols. 150r-v), which points towards an Augustinian house.
The (ferial) antiphons are provided with music; all have 'normal' melodies, regularly fitting the okto-echos-modes. The timbre Speret Israel (fol. 87v, Lauda Jerusalem fol. 95r-v) has a 4th mode psalm tone, reciting on the distance of a fourth to the final.
