D-X H 44

Evangelistarium, mid 15th century, Stevenskerk in Nijmegen.

The first part bears a Roman foliation (fols. I-CVIII); the rest bears a modern foliation (fols. 1-48). Several hands.

Some lessons are provided with Hufnagelschrift on either red staves or ink staves:
- fol. Vv: Liber generationis acc. to Matthew (notated; 1st mode melody).
- fols. 3 ff.: Passions according the 4 gospels. In the two first gospels a cross is entered on the moment of Christ's death; the two last ones (fols. 32r and 40v) have the indication Hic dicitur pater noster flexis genibus.
- fol. 42r: Liber generationis acc. to Matthew again.
- fol. 44r: Liber generationis acc. to Luke Factus est cum baptizaretur.

In the back of the book (fols. 48 ff) are some fragments of a notated missal with Low Countries style staffless neumes, probably ca 1100 or early 12th century (Off. Benedictus es domine doce me and verses, etcetera).

The manuscript also contains oaths for the members of the chapter.
