D-AAm G13

Graduale of the Marienstift in Aachen, probably written late 12th centy (1170-1190) (Federstrich. p. 117). Called 'Arnoldus-Graduale' because of the phrase 'Orate pro Arnoldo' written in red paint on top of some of the pages. Low Countries notation on four line staff, red f-line, yellow c-line. The notation type is the same as the notation found in Utrecht, Stavelot and Trier (see for instance the facsimile edition of NL-Uu 406 and PalMus II-III, pl 131-132). Chant dialect: East-Frankish.
