Between ca. 1990 and 1995 a thorough investigation into the Hartker Antiphoner (Sankt Gallen, Stiftsbibl. 390-391) was undertaken by fr. Kees Pouderoijen, in collaboration with Ike de Loos. The main purpose of this project was to determine the different neume hands of the codex. We had the possibility to visit the codex for several times, and to make many close-up photographs, for which we are very grateful to the keeper of manuscripts, Peter Ochsenbein.
Since then, several lectures on this subject have been read, the most
extended of which was:
K. Pouderoijen, in collaboration with Ike de
Loos: Neueste Erkentnisse über den Codex Hartker:
Schreiber, Modusbuchstaben, Antiphonar und Tonar, read on the
Gregorianik-Kongress, Vienna, 6-9 June 1995, organised by the AISCGre.
This overview gives the main results of the detailed study we made.
