Abdij Drongen |
Premonstratensian abbey near Gent. The monastery was founded in 1136 in Saleghem and switched to the premonstratensian order in 1138; dedicated to Mary. Usually called 'Drongen' (Trunchinium).
The abbey possessed relics of Gerulphus, Aldegonda of Drongen, and Basinus (acc. to a note in the front of F-Pn nal 1906).
Only one manuscript is known, and already mentioned by Van Waefelghem:
