Hubertus

Son of duc Bertrand of Aquitania. After his conversion he became bishop of Maastricht (successor of Lambertus) and first bishop of Liège; died 727 (he moved the bishop's see from Maastricht to Liège). He died on 30 May 727; his canonisation and the elevation of his relics took place on 3 November 743.

Feast: 3 November.

Because his conversion took place while hunting on Good Friday, he is patron of huntsmen.
