Kasteel-museum Sypesteyn possesses one manuscript: a Graduale, probably 2nd half 16th century. Decoration, script, etc. are very simple. Square notation on ink staves; some Dutch rubrics; indications for the cantrix and the sorores (on Holy Friday ?). The feasts of Franciscus and the Stigmata Francisci point towards a Franciscan house, as does the introitus for Omnes Sancti that has a textual adaptation. As there are no chants at all for Clara it is no Clarissen-manuscript; it might have belonged to Franciscan tertiaries.
Some leaves written by a younger hand are inserted; one of these bears a rubric Festo patrocinio Joseph, which indicates a house under the patronage of Joseph.

The manuscript does not contain any special chants (except for some alleluia's proper to Franciscus). No tropes, polyphony or other special chants. The sequentiarium-part consists of only four sequences (Victimae, Veni sancte, Lauda syon, Dies irae; in the Temporale part is Virgini marie laudes), which suggests that it originated under influence of the Tridentine Reform.
