Corpus Christi

Special chants for this feast are found in NL-DHk 70 E 4, of the O.-L.-Vrouwekerk in Tongeren (Hufnagelschrift on red staves; two hands: ca 1300):

* The office Animarum cibus dei sapientia (fols. 86r-96v); this is considered the original office for the feast of Corpus Christi, composed in 1246 by Jean du Mont-Cornillon for the diocese of Luik, but used elsewhere as well. It was superseded by the office by Thomas de Aquino; see Boeren, pp. 8-9 and 11 for more literature
* The sequentia Laureata plebs fidelis (fols. 94v-96r; see AH 8, pp. 37-38, nr. 37)
* The hymn Ad cenam agni
