Albanus

Martyr, fighter against heresy, died 406 in Mainz. Feast: 21 June. Relics of him are kept in Namen (Namur).

Office: Five vesper antiphons (no modal order), starting with Solemnitas hodierna sancti Albani martiris. Matins: Partly modally ordered (?). The name Theonistus presul occurs in the texts. Hymn: Exultet omnis spiritus Albanus martir inclitus.
