Psalterium and texts of cistercian offices, 13th century. Unfoliated.

On the last page of the psalter a prayer for Oswald is added. Then the book continues with a second scribe: litany, hymns, etc. In the back of the book: Subvenite sancti dei provided with Hufnagelschrift on ink staves.

On some places a cursive hand has written German words over the psalm texts, e.g. Deus misereatur (erbarme) nostri et benedicat nobis; illuminet (erleuchten) vultum ....

The attribution to cistercians is probably based on the saints in the litany: a.o. Wilhelmus, Malachius, Bernardus, Robertus e.a.
