Weesp received its charter in 1355.
Laurentiuskerk, parish church, the main church of the town. In 1462 it was dedicated to St Laurentius.
The summer breviary NL-DHk 73 G 35 was kept in Weesp at least since the 17th century and hence perhaps originated there.
