Chapter church at Deventer. Chapter founded before mid 9th century. Cathedral from 1559 (for a short while).
The 'Lebuinuscodex', an Evangeliarium, prepared 825-850 in the north-east of France, and now kept in the Catharijneconvent Utrecht, is found in Deventer and was believed to be a book of St. Lebuinus; this turned out to be no more than a legend since the book dates from the 9th century (see: Middeleeuwse Boeken van Het Catharijneconvent, pp. 23-25 and 12-19).
